Additionally, the blade choil provides an excellent choked-up grip, maximizing stability on this exceptionally sharp knife. About CPM-S35VN Stainless Steel

CPM-S35VN is a martensitic stainless steel engineered for enhanced toughness compared to CPM-S30V. It is easier to machine and polish, with a chemistry adjusted to form niobium carbides alongside vanadium and chromium carbides. This substitution provides CPM-S35VN with 15-20% greater toughness without sacrificing wear resistance, making it highly resistant to edge chipping. Additionally, the use of vanadium and niobium carbides improves edge retention compared to conventional high chromium steels like 440C and D2.
