The Nakamura range is a great blend of authentic design detailing and a very responsive functional strength. The famous knife maker Nakamura designed the entire range for Benchmade. The 484-1 Nakamura has a sleek yet gritty design element. This folding knife uses the Axis- assisted mechanism and is a manual opening.
The drop point design of the blade has a small serrated edge on one side. The spear tip is a great feature and adds to the functionality of the knife. The blade is made from American –made stainless steel, i.e. CPM-S30V. This material enhances the resilience of the blade to corrosion and improves its strength a great deal. The handles are designed with groves to have the finger clasp easily giving the user immense control over the knife. The handle is made of contoured carbon fiber and has a black coating. The knife has a clip with a reversible tip-up position.
